Lech and Zürs decided long ago what most resorts never decided: a cap. The number of beds is limited by design, the building rules are strict, and the result is a station that has stayed itself.

A village that became a station, not the other way round.

Megève existed long before the Rothschilds. When Baroness Noémie de Rothschild chose it in 1921 as a French alternative to Saint-Moritz, she did not build a resort — she let an existing farming village turn slowly into one.

Where alpine technique was born.

On 3 January 1901, six friends founded the Ski-Club Arlberg at the Hotel Hospiz in St. Christoph. It remains one of the oldest and most decorated ski clubs in the world — its members have won more than 80 medals at Olympic Games and World Championships.
