Beyond Skiing, Answered
Winter evenings offer experiences of their own. In Crans-Montana, the 2-km Lantern Path transforms the snowy landscape with lights, artistic installations and events after dark. St. Anton am Arlberg offers a very different atmosphere, with its famous après-ski culture bringing skiers and non-skiers together at the end of the day.
The destination itself is part of the experience. Megève combines its historic village centre with boutiques, galleries and cafés, while Kitzbühel brings shopping and contemporary lifestyle into its medieval centre. Cortina d’Ampezzo adds a distinctly Italian dimension, with its elegant town centre, shopping and social life.
Absolutely. Lech Zürs am Arlberg lends itself to a slower Alpine rhythm, combining refined hospitality, wellness and village life, while Davos Klosters offers spas and cultural attractions alongside its urban character. Both show that a day in the mountains can also be about taking time, relaxing and simply enjoying the destination.
The Alps are also places of history and culture. Chamonix-Mont-Blanc invites visitors to explore its mountaineering heritage and historic town, while Courmayeur combines the character of an Aosta Valley village with Italian food, cafés and wellness. Both offer ways to experience mountain culture without putting on skis.
