CHAMONIX MONT-BLANC, FRANCE Chamonix Mont-Blanc is situated in the Arve high valley (Haute Savoie) at the foot of the magnificent Mont-Blanc on the Swiss-Italian border and is 86 km from Geneva airport. Chamonix is a skiing and mountaineering metropolis that welcomes 2.5 million visitors a year, 52% of which are French and 48% other nationalities. This charming little town (10,000 inhabitants) is attuned to the mountains and offers its visitors the complete range of Alpine sports.
