LECH ZÜRS AM ARLBERG, AUSTRIA
Lech Zürs am Arlberg was
awarded the title of Prettiest Village in Europe in 2004. 1500 people
live here summer and winter and enjoy their home. Here is a place that
offers more time and more space for all who come here. Lech and Zürs are
situated 1450 metres above sea level in the middle of the Austrian Alps.
Both villages are justifiably regarded as glamorous ski resorts with
cosmopolitan flair and homely hospitality. This unique mix of tradition
and modern spirit provides guests, locals and employees alike a quality of
life which is hard to find elsewhere. In winter the world`s most
awarded gourmet village provides 280 kilometres of well-prepared slopes
and 180 km of open slopes which start and end directly at the doors of
homely bed and breakfasts or high-class hotels. In summer Lech reveals the
secret beneath the snow. Guests from all over the world enjoy 350 km of
signed footpaths. Visitors can expect an attractive summer holiday
region set amidst the impressive mountains.
